Hello! My name is Stevi Combs and I recently got married in June of 2023. At 21 and 23 years old my husband Riley and I said "I Do" and it was the best day of our lives.
Let's take a time machine back to the year 2016. I was starting my freshman year of high school and was only worried about sports. One day I got a Facebook message from a boy I had always had a big crush on. The only problem was that this boy went to my rival school and was against all morals to date from the "blue school." I ignored Riley's messages for a couple of months because I was not about to be that girl who broke the made-up rule. Until one day Riley asked me to go to Sonic and I agreed. That Sonic date was the start of our forever and we have been inseparable ever since.
Although Riley and I had been together for 7 years before getting married the thought of growing up and leaving home scared me. I knew that marrying Riley was the best decision I could ever make but everyone surrounding us had their own opinions. It raised a lot of questions in our family and friends..."Are you rushing into it too quickly, would waiting be a better idea to be more secure?" We did not listen to them and have not looked back since.
I am here to show support to the young kids who are ready to get married to their person while still in college. Let me be your role model in this situation and follow along!
